The QCT is honoured to celebrate NAIDOC Week by sharing what inspiring educators and role models in Indigenous education have to say about the annual celebration and how schools are marking it.
NAIDOC week is held in the first full week of July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, but because this often falls in the second week of the June and July school holidays, schools in Queensland hold celebrations both before and after the holidays. This week we share what some of those schools are doing. Let us know on social media when and how you are celebrating NAIDOC Week and we will share your celebrations. We hope you find these stories as inspiring as we do. The above photograph is supplied by Catholic Education - Diocese of Cairns. |
